Montana NSF EPSCoR communicates and disseminates project outcomes through supported partnerships and programs that foster collaboration, target development of a diverse, well-trained STEM workforce, and support a scientifically informed citizenry. The dissemination of scientific results to stakeholders and citizens builds scientific literacy and strengthens educational and research capacity throughout Montana. Youth STEM Entrepreneurship
About Youth STEM Entrepreneurship in Montana Montana NSF EPSCoR partnered with the Montana Afterschool Alliance to research how to bring the VentureLab ESTEAM youth curriculum to Montana in order to advance workforce skill development and STEM/STEAM learning. VentureLab is a nonprofit organization that is helping create the next generation of innovators and changemakers through entrepreneurial learning.
Small Town STEM
Small Town STEM is an initiative designed to support youth and adults in rural Montana with a specific emphasis on towns with 2,500 or fewer people (78% of Montana towns). Our objectives are to: • introduce youth in small towns to STEM activities and role models • increase youth awareness of and interest in STEM careers and studies • create a cohort of adults dedicated to STEM who can sustain programming after pilot initiatives • increase STEM confidence/STEM identity in both youth and adults.

Montana NSF EPSCoR increases Montana’s research competitiveness by strengthening STEM capacity and capability. Through our education, outreach and diversity programs, we seek to: Support, promote and establish STEM professional development pathways while broadening participation of diverse individuals, groups and institutions in STEM.
