NSF EPSCoR announces five RII Track-1 awards
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded five jurisdictions nearly $20 million each through the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR), which builds research and development capacity in states that demonstrate a commitment to research but have thus far lacked the levels of investment seen in other parts of the country.
Two UM faculty receive NSF EPSCoR Research Fellows (RII Track-4) Awards
Drs. Tung-Chung Mou and Brian Chaffin with the University of Montana were awarded NSF EPSCoR Research Fellows (Track-4) awards.
UM awarded Track-2 in partnership with University of Nebraska
UM Professor of Wildlife Biology, Zach Cheviron, is the PI on a newly awarded $4M RII Track-2 FEC project in partnership with the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

NSF has published the EPSCoR RII Track-1 RFP for 2017.
"E" in EPSCoR changed from experimental to established
The American Innovation and Competitiveness Act (AICA) (S. 3084) signed Jan 7, 2017 changed the "E" in EPSCoR.
