Drs. Tung-Chung Mou and Brian Chaffin with the University of Montana were awarded NSF EPSCoR Research Fellows (Track-4) awards. Dr. Mou will receive training at the National Center for Macromolecular Imaging (NCMI) to support his work on the analysis of the structure and function of specific proteins. Dr. Chaffin will partner with ecologists at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to develop a statistical method for identifying evidence of discrete social and ecological transitions that have occurred in the Middle Platte River watershed of central Nebraska since the Dust Bowl era of the 1930s.
