The Montana Consortium for Research on Environmental Water Systems (CREWS) project is seeking a Data Curation Librarian to provide technical leadership and support for project data management and sharing, including development of, and compliance with, CREWS project data policies. Funded by NSF EPSCoR, the CREWS project aims to expand the state’s research capacity to understand local threats to environmental water quality. 

The Data Curation Librarian will be a non-tenure-track faculty member based in the MSU Library, reporting to the Head of Special Collections and Archival Informatics, with an 80% appointment in the NSF EPSCoR CREWS team and a 20% appointment in the MSU Library. The position is expected to be funded for a limited term, ending in September 2023. Funding is by cooperative agreement that is subject to NSF approval for continuation on an annual basis.
