The CREWS-PRB team will meet on Monday, December 13 at noon on WebEx.
Nida Shaikh, a graduate student at MSU, will present "Carbon accumulation at model biological interfaces: Changes to lipid film structure and organization."
About the talk: I am using complementary thermodynamic and optical spectroscopic methods to study fundamental interactions of environmentally available carbon particulates and model biological membranes to provide insight on health implications and water quality.
About Nida: I received my undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Riverside. I’m currently a 5th-year Chemistry graduate student in Rob Walker’s research group at MSU. In my free time, I enjoy CrossFit, yoga, climbing, hiking, spending time with family, and cooking.
