SMART FIRES
The current project advances science and technology to support Montana communities in understanding and managing fire in the landscape. By studying prescribed burning, wildfire behavior, and smoke impacts, researchers are developing tools and partnerships that promote a healthier environment, resilient communities, and informed decision-making in a changing fire environment.
