MT EPSCoR has developed a multimedia website as a teaching tool about hydrogen as an alternative fuel, and specifically the research being conducted in Montana to address this issue. It is distributed through the National Science Teachers Association to 20,000 science teachers throughout the country. The website content includes: news and current events related to EPSCoR research, faculty and student profiles, audio slideshows, animations, maps and interactive applications and other public outreach media assets. The site features four modules, each housing its own multimedia files:
· Alternative Fuels [Overview of hydrogen fuel issues]
· Why Yellowstone [Yellowstone info and other extreme environments]
· Researchers [The personal effect: meet the scientists and students]
· Downloads and Resources [self-contained teaching modules]

Multimedia files of EPSCoR projects are also available on a special Montana EPSCoR YouTube channel at youtube.com/epscor.
Montana EPSCoR is also working closely with a student in MSU’s well-known Science & Natural History Film-making program to create a documentary film about this quest for alternative fuels as well as to encourage and coach students and teachers to develop their own energy-related film projects. The documentary film and films created by K-12 students will be featured on the “Hydrogen and the Environment” website.
