The MT EPSCoR diversity plan targets increasing success in STEM disciplines for Native Americans and other underrepresented groups in the MUS. In cooperation with the Montana's tribal colleges, an accelerated math preparation program for pre-college Native American high school students will be developed and implemented. This program is a four-way partnership with reservation high schools, tribal colleges, 4-year universities and the MT EPSCoR program.
This program is being piloted at Little Big Horn College in the Summer of 2012.
This program consists of an intensive summer program for high school and tribal college Native students that will focus on pre-calculus and calculus with the goal of preparing students to matriculate into on of the state's research universities and pursue a degree in a STEM field.
