- Weekly outdoor outings to include hiking, mountain biking, rafting,
river tubing, swimming, or canoeing.
- Activities with
other summer academic programs--last year there were shared barbecues
and day trips with students from the Health Careers Opportunity Program
(HCOP).
- Personal and group
development through challenge activities--indoor rock climbing and ropes

- Native American
cultural activities--past events included experiencing an evening in
a sweat lodge, Independence Day Pow wow (ceremonial dancing) and local
Native American guest speakers.
- Two amazing mountains
with in walking distance- Mount Sentinel ("M" - just behind campus)
and Mount Jumbo ("L" - up the Rattlesnake) are both pictured in the
slide show.
- Rattlesnake Recreation
and Wilderness Area within biking distance--a beautiful place to escape
for a day of mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing or picnicking.
- Field Site Visits--last year's group spent several days at Jack Horner's
Hell Creek paleontology site, where they had the opportunity to prospect
for dinosaur bones, and see a disarticulated skeleton of a Tyrannosaurs-Rex.

- Yellowstone
National Park--famous for its thermal activity and wildlife
viewing. There are thousands of sites available on Yellowstone, but
this one has informative articles and a great slide show.
- Glacier
National Park--renowned for its vistas and hiking. This is a
great site with a thorough hiking guide.
